Experimental and Numerical Analysis of an Atmospheric Water Harvester Using a Thermoelectric Cooler

An atmospheric water harvester with a thermoelectric cooler (TEC) can extract vapour from air. This study tested prototype TEC and evaluated the condensation flow parameters affecting amount of produced using experimental numerical methods. experiment was performed under controlled conditions (a temperature 313 K relative humidity 85%) in climate chamber for 8 h actual weather Kuwait h. The humid air condensed when cooling surface less than dew point temperature, collected. findings indicated that increased increasing temperature. analysis involved modelling simulation (for h, similar to experiment) boundary inlet humidity, velocity. decreased outlet because condensation. A comparison results showed calculated close value. this will help enhance efficiency producing clean safe drinking water.
